  • Instructions to Candidates reporting for Integrated First Degree Admissions

    INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES WHO HAVE BEEN OFFERED ADMISSIONS TO INTEGRATED FIRST DEGREE PROGRAMME
     

    Candidates who are reporting to Goa Campus for Integrated First Degree Programme Admissions are required to note the following points:

    1.        1) Hostel room allotment will begin from 28th July 2016 (9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m) , will continue on 29th July 2016 (7:30 am to 8:00 p.m) , and will end on 30th July 2016 (7:30 a.m to 1:00 p.m)

    a)    For further assistance contact either by phone or email to any of the following persons:
    b)  Parents accompanying their wards will have to make their own arrangements for stay.  Institute cannot provide accommodation to them. However, In case of a male student, his parents may stay with him for a short duration but not beyond one day after registration. In case of a female student, only female guardian accompanying her can use this arrangement.

     

    c)  Limited accommodation is available in Campus Guest House, where parents may also stay subject to availability. In this regard, the person concerned Mr. Atul Rai may be contacted at 0832-2580105.
     

    d) The allotment of hostel rooms is random and computerized. There is no provision for choosing a hostel or a hostel room.

    e) There is no provision for prior reservation of hostel rooms for students or their parents. Hence, the student should be present personally at the time of hostel allotment.

    f)  The student may occupy the room immediately after allotment.

    g) The arrangement for food for students and their parents will be made available in student messes in the campus on payment basis.
     

    h)  Arrangements are made near the hostels and in the shopping complex on campus for the purchase of items like mattress, pillow, bed sheet, curtain, buckets, mug, lock etc., on payment basis.

     

    2.      2) Admissions will be held on 30th July 2016, 8:30am onwards.

    On Admissions Day (30th July 2016)  you are required to submit the following documents in original along with a photocopy of each:
    • Mark sheet of Senior School Certificate Examination (XII Standard) under 10+2 School System or its equivalent issued by the Board/University
    • Senior School/XII Pass Certificate Issued by the Board*.
    •   Matriculation/Secondary School/X Pass Certificate issued by the Board/Date of Birth Certificate
    • Transfer/Migration Certificate**
    • Anti-Ragging Declaration Affidavits
    • Certificate of Medical Fitness
    *Candidates may be permitted to submit these certificates later at the discretion of the Associate Dean, Admissions.
     
    **Migration Certificate is issued by the university after finishing university exam. This certificate is used when you change your board or university.
     
    **Transfer Certificate is issued when you pass out from the Institute.
     
    Note: As per Supreme Court Order, it is mandatory for all newly admitted students and their parent/guardian to sign separate affidavit on a non-judiciary stamp paper of Rs.20/- (Rupees Twenty Only) or of a higher amount each duly signed by Oath Commissioner (A designated person in most of the courts in India. Notary can sign in a place where there is no Oath Commissioner). This signed affidavit is to be submitted at the time of Reporting at Goa Campus. Fill the form online from the following link, download the forms from your email id, enter the same content on the stamp paper and notarize the same.

    a)      For admission related queries, contact by phone or email to any of the following persons:

    b)     On the admissions day, the candidate will be interviewed by a Dean/Senior faculty member of the Institute. This interview will not change any merit order of the candidate. However, if the candidate fails to show up for the interview his/her admission will be automatically cancelled.

    c)      Admissions will be followed by Freshmen Orientation Programme on 31st July 2016 and Registration on 1st August 2016. It is not mandatory for the parents to attend the Orientation Programme. Parents can leave once  the admission and other formalities are completed. The classes will start immediately thereafter on 2nd August 2016 and candidates should come prepared for the same.

    d)      Please remember to bring with you a Demand Draft (DD) for the amount specified in your admission offer letter, to be submitted on reporting for Admissions. The Demand Draft (DD) should be made in favor to “BITS Pilani, KK Birla Goa Campus” payable at “SBI, BITS Pilani, Goa Centre Branch” (Code: 10720) OR any other bank “payable in Vasco/ Goa”.

    Note: The DD can be payable at Panjim or Vasco branch as well and can be also made from any other bank but should be drawn in the favor of BITS Pilani, KK Birla Goa Campus



     

  • Instructions to Candidates who have been offered Admissions to International Student Admissions

    INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES WHO HAVE BEEN OFFERED ADMISSIONS TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSIONS

    Candidates who are reporting to Goa Campus for Integrated First Degree Programme Admissions under International Student Admissions are required to note the following points:

    For pickup facility from the Airport /Railway Station, please communicate to us in advance with date/time of arrival via mail (with contact details) to admission@goa.bits-pilani.ac.in  before 15th July 2016.

    1.       Hostel room allotment will begin from 24th July 2016, 9:00 am to 7:00 p.m. onwards.

     

    a) For further assistance contact either by phone or email to any of the following persons:

    • Matriculation/Secondary School/X Pass certificate issued by the board
    • Transfer / Migration certificate
    • Proof of Nationality (Passport)
    • PIO or OCI card or visa

     

    **Migration Certificate is issued by the university after finishing university exam. This certificate is used when you change your board or university.

    **Transfer Certificate is issued when you pass out from the Institute.

    Candidates who are reporting to Goa Campus for Higher Degree Programme Admissions are required to note the following points:

    • Matriculation/Secondary School/X Pass Certificate issued by the Board/ Date of Birth Certificate.
    • Transfer/Migration Certificate**
