Dr R
Swarnalatha did her BE in Instrumentation & Control Engineering from
Sathayabama Engineering College, Chennai and ME in Instrumentation Engineering
from Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University, Chennai. She received her
Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Instrumentation from Birla Institute of Technology
and Science (BITS), Pilani, India.
She has 24 years of teaching experience. Previously she had worked in Sathyabama Deemed University, Chennai. She had received Best Teacher Award twice for the years 2000- 2001 and 2002-2003. She was selected as a Nodel Person for projects from ICE dept of Sathyabama University.
She is working with BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus since August 2004. She is the Deputy Head & Associate Professor. She has guided many projects and taught various courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Her research interest includes biomedical instrumentation, process control & Instrumentation, neural network & fuzzy logic. She has her research work published in refereed journals and many international conferences.
She had received an “Outstanding Women Achiever” award for the contribution and the achievement in the field of Biomedical Instrumentation on 5th March 2016 by Venus International Foundation VIWA 2016.
