About the Faculty

Dr.Basavadatta Mitra, has about 19 years of teaching experience that includes Pre-PhD and Post-PhD teaching assignments in Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Goa.Presently, associated with BITS, Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus since April 2004,she has been teaching courses across disciplines –Social Sciences,Management,  ELT. Although born in Kolkata, West Bengal, a very Cross-Cultural exposure has provided her opportunities for a very niche experience from wherein she draws her examples in classroom teaching.

 She has about 18 inter/national publications of high repute and is currently involved in a Major UGC Project :

Cross Cultural Communication-an Empirical Analysis in Indian Industries and Academia.
 
She is a voracious reader,loves Western and India music and travels extensively to understand the myriad cultures of India.
