Mohan Kumar Bera has done PhD in Social Sciences from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai under the supervision of Prof. Subodh M Wagle. He was also a  Post Doctoral researcher at Department of Geography, Masaryk University, Czech Republic.
