About the Faculty:

Education: Dr. Subhasish Roy is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, BITS-Pilani K. K. Birla Goa campus. Dr. Roy received his PhD (PhD Thesis Title: "Amino Acid and Peptide based Soft Materials, Nanoclusters, Hybrid and Core-Shell Smart Nano Materials") in Chemistry from the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS)-Jadavpur University, India under the supervision of Prof. Arindam Banerjee, Department of Biological Chemistry, IACS. Dr. Roy received his M.Sc. in Chemistry with Organic Chemistry Specialization and B.Sc. in Chemistry Honors from Burdwan University, India.

Professional Experience: Dr. Roy did his Postdoctoral Research work with Prof. Nurit Ashkenasy, Department of Materials Engineering, Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel for about four years. Before joining at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa campus, he worked as a DST Inspire Faculty, Department of Chemistry & Chemical Technology, Vidyasagar University, India for about a year.

Research Areas:

His research areas of interest include Peptide Chemistry, Supramolecular Chemistry, Catalysis, Materials Chemistry, Systems Chemistry and Bioinspired Supramolecular Materials for Electronics, Sensing, Waste-water Treatment and Energy.
