About the Faculty
Dr Vivek is currently working as an Associate Professor in the department of Chemical Engineering, BITS Pilani- K K Birla Goa Campus. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Bharathidasan University, Tamil Nadu and Master’s degree in Industrial Biotechnology, SASTRA University. Subsequently, he worked as Assistant Professor for a period of 5 years in the School of chemical and Biotechnology, SASTRA University. He completed his PhD in Biochemical Engineering (2015) (Supervisor: Prof. Ramkrishna Sen) from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. For about a year and half till Dec-2016, he worked as post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Process Engineering Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
His research interests lie in the areas of bioprocess intensification; bioprocess optimization; bioactives for therapeutic and cosmetic applications
