1. Molecular Studies on Bacopa monnieri to evaluate the modulation of neuronal receptors for schizophrenia using cell based and mouse models - Under DBT AYUSH  Call for Proposals (UNDER REVIEW) ; 2021.

1.     Polymorphism studies of the malaria vaccine candidate Serine Repeat Antigen (SERA)  in Indian Isolates – Under DST-SERC under Fast Track scheme  - 19.6 lakhs (2009-2012).
 
2. Characterization of the prenatal and perinatal risk factors of autism spectral disorder in Indian autistic population – UGC, ongoing, 6.52 lakhs,  2010– 2013.
 
3. Molecular Studies on T3 binding domain of the thyroid hormone receptors in Autistic Individuals. Under DST- Cognitive Science Research Initiative,  23.75 lakhs, (2011-2014). 
 
4. Development of suitably customized polymers and clay based absorbents for effective removal of chromium from e-waste, (PI - Prof. N. Rajesh), DST, 42.82 lakhs, (2013 - 2016). 
 
5. Polymorphism studies and molecular characterization of Plasmodial Rhoptry Neck Protein 2 (RON-2) from Indian field isolates - DST SERB (34.92 lakhs) 2017 - 2020. (as PI)
 
6.  Efficacy of Appropriately Tailored Biopolymer and Carbonaceous Adsorbents for the Separation and Recovery of Europium - DST SERB (31.53 lakhs) 2017 - 2020. (as Co-PI) 
 
 
ROLE IN OTHER INSTITUTIONAL PROJECTS 
 
1. DST - FIST, Biological Sciences Department, BITS, Pilani - Hyderabad Campus - coordinated, submitted and defended the project in the capacity of Head, Biological Sciences Department and acquired sanction for 100 lakhs. (2012)
 
2. DST-TBI, BITS, Pilani - Hyderabad Campus (Thrust Areas: Biotech/Pharma, ICT and MEMS) - coordinated, submitted and defended the grant for the  Biotech/Pharma thrust area along with other participating departments. 5.00 Crores, 2012 - 2017. 
 
3. DBT - BUILDER, Neuroscience, Department of Biological Sciences and Pharmacy,  BITS, PILANI - Hyderabad Campus - PI from Biology, Cell models and molecular genetics of Schizophrenia, 3. 00 Crores, 2020-2021.
