  • Award for Excellence in Computer Science (AECS)

    Applications are now open for the annual “Award for Excellence in Computer Science (AECS)” which aims to encourage a culture of technical excellence at BITS Pilani by recognizing outstanding accomplishments by undergraduate students in the field of Computer Science. 
     
    Award Process
    All BITS undergraduate students (not just Computer Science) enrolled in the 3rd year or above are eligible to apply for the award. The applicants must all show a strong streak of achievements in Computer Science.
    The 2014 edition consists of the following:
    • Award citation
    • An initial prize money of Rs. 30,000
    • Additional prize money up to a total of Rs. 70,000 available to the winner for one year after the declaration of the results
    Based on the application material, a shortlist of the most promising candidates will be drawn up by the award panel, and the final decision will be made after one-on-one phone interviews with the shortlisted applicants.

    Important Dates
    Applications are now open for AECS 2014. The deadline for submission of all applications is 27 October 2014
    Interviews will be scheduled in the month of November 2014, and the winner will be announced in mid-December.

  • MOU with PACE University, New York

    "BITS has recently entered into an enabling MOU with PACE University, New York, which allows for student and faculty exchange for promotion of collaborative research.

    The Computer Science and Information Systems department (http://www.pace.edu/seidenberg/about-seidenberg/fast-facts) is open to accepting BITS students for 

    a) First and higher degree thesis and 
    b) studying advanced level electives
