Dr. S. Murugesan joined in the Department of pharmacy, BITS, Pilani in the year 2010 as Assistant Professor. Dr S. Murugesan pursued his Ph.D from BIT, Mesra (2009) in the area of synthetic medicinal chemistry, M. Pharm from BITS, Pilani (2002) and B. Pharm from The TN Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai (1999). 

 

His areas of interest are Computer Aided Drug Design, Synthetic Medicinal Chemistry and New analytical method development and validation by using various instrumental analytical techniques. 

 

Dr S. Murugesan has more than 200 research papers and more than 100 poster presentation in various national and international repute in his credit. He has also supervised five Ph. D students, project work for several M. Pharm and B. Pharm Students. He is also a life member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), TamilNadu State Pharmacy Council, The Indian Science Congress Association, Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), Indian Society of Chemists and Biologists (ISCB), The Indian Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and Technologists (IAPST), Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Indian Council of Chemist (ICC), Society for Ethnopharmacology (SFE)
