  • Project HATNet (codename): It is an INR 49 L (USD 98,000), 18-month long, externally funded research and development project involving MANETs, VANETs and BANs as applicable to Real-time QoS-enabled Networks, Funded by Government of India. <2012-2014>
  • Tiny6 (codename) Project involving research in IPv6, Mobility and Power-conservation aspects of Sensor Networks in pervasive computing environments, (BITS will contribute mainly to IPv6 Stack Architecture) and the integration of Sensor Networks and IPv6 Mobility), Funded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, (with project partners from France, China, Korea and India), Total project grant: Euros 61,000, Total Project Cost: Euros 81,000. <2007-2012>

  • Journal Server Freeware Digital Library Project, Phase-1: Search Engine, Web-Client and Portal Design and Development,, Funded by the JST, Trinity College, Oxford University, Grant Value (in form of software and manuals etc.): Rs. 1.2 Lakh. <Status: Completed, 2002>
  • Under the European Next Generation Network Initiative, IPv6-based Multimedia Internetwork QoS (IPv6-MMI-QoS) Project, Funded by European Commission, Brussels, (with seven international research partners from five countries including France, Spain, Denmark and Switzerland), Total project grant: Euros 1,15,000, Grant Value (to BITS alone): Euros 18,000. <Status: completed, 2002.>

  • A DST-FIST phase-I proposal worth INR 5 Million involving Wireless Sensor Networking devices and software <proposal just accepted by the DST for the CS department at Pilani campus>, Grant value: Rs. 52 Lakh. <2012-2016, Status: Grant communication received, grant awaited.>
  • Establishment of BITS-Microsoft Mobile Computing Lab., Funded by Microsoft Research, RedmondGrant Value: USD 35,000. <Status: completed.>
