Dr. Vishal Saxena did Bachelor's in Pharmacy (B. Pharm) from L. M. College of Science and Technology, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, M. E. in Biotechnology and Ph D. from Center for Biotechnology, Biological Sciences Group, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Rajasthan. He worked as CSIR Senior Research Fellow (2003-2006) during his PhD tenure. He joined Department of Biological Sciences as Lecturer in 2006, continued as Assistant Professor in 2009 and as Associate Professor in 2015. At present he is working here as Professor (since June 2021). He is actively involved in teaching under-graduate, graduate and PhD aspirants. He is actively involved in research on Infectious Diseases, has published in high impact peer reviewed international journals and has supervised five PhD thesis, and six are ongoing. He is also actively involved in Institute administrative duties and is currently heading Institute Knowledge Analysis (IKA) Cell (institute wide).
