BITS Pilani Faculty Win Rajasthan IT Day 2018 Prize
Rajasthan Government
conducted Rajasthan IT Day during March 18 to 21, 2018 at
Rajasthan University Campus, Jaipur. As a part of series of events spanned over
these four days, one of the events was EduHack, which was organized in
Rajasthan College Campus, Jaipur on March 19, 2018. This event was aimed at
giving a unique platform to teachers, professors, lecturers and educationists
of Rajasthan State wherein they could demonstrate their path-breaking solutions
to improve our education system. It had provided a collaborative and
competitive environment to the participants to showcase their out-of-the-box
ideas and to propose extraordinary solutions. About 50 colleges had participated
in it and had shared their ideas.
Dr. Vishal Gupta and
Dr. Ashutosh Bhatia, Faculty, Department of Computer Science and Information
Systems, BITS, Pilani had participated as a team. They have won second runners-
up prize in the form of a certificate, a Memento, and a Laptop. The title of their
presentation was "Blended Learning Model with Flipped Classroom Teaching
Pedagogy." They had demonstrated a model based on digital technology that
is used in BITS Pilani to improve teaching and learning pedagogy. Further, they
had proposed an extension of their implemented model that can be used in other
engineering colleges of Rajasthan as well.
