A 1993-98 Alumni initiative to support student participation in academic competitions and conferences
BITS students are engaged in several co/extra-curricular activities being conducted outside the campus and geographical locations. These activities add a different dimension to the overall development of a student, build competencies, and pave way for interest and passion to be pursued. Often, these activities such as conferences, events, contests, internships etc. are highly sought after and considered prestigious in overall student communities. Participation, competing and winning in such events is not only a validation of capabilities of a BITS student, but also helps bring glory to their institution. It is imperative that we encourage and support student participation to the extent possible and financially viable.
The following student events are covered under this program:
- Start-up or Business Plan Finals
- Internships outside India
- Conferences and Events of Repute
- Contests and Competitions of Repute
- Any other event not covered through above definitions; to be decided on merit
The student must provide the proof of reputation for such events. The decision on the support shall be decided by the Udaan Scholarships governing team.
