About the Faculty

Dr.Iniyan Thiruselvam is Assistant Professor in BITS Pilani K. K. Birla Goa campus. His Ph.D. thesis work at IIT Madras focused on improving the conventional three-dimensional Digital Image Correlation technique (3D DIC) to suit high-resolution deformation measurements over discontinuous domains. He has more than six years of industrial exposure to the latest developments in measuring the deformation and shape of arbitrarily shaped objects. He has been teaching courses on mechanics of materials, finite element method and computer-aided design. His research interests lie in solving some of the latest challenging problems in the broad area of experimental mechanics. He is a Founder and Director of a startup, BIONIC Imprints Private Limited, Goa.
