Dr. Ram Shanker Patel did his Ph.D. on ‘Transport and magnetic properties of ion beam sputtered Fe-Cr GMR multilayers’ from the department of Physics, IIT Kanpur (2005). As a post-doctoral scientist, first he worked at Max-Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics, Halle, Germany on (e, 2e) correlation electron spectroscopy (2006 – 2007) and then at MESA+ Institute of Nanotechnology, University of Twente, the Netherlands on Ferromagnet-semiconductor heterostructures for spin injection (2007 – 2009). He joined BITS Pilani – Goa Campus in 2009. His area of interest is spintronics.
