About the Faculty
Dr Saurabh Patankar earned his PhD (Tech) in Chemical Engineering from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai under the guidance of Padmashri Prof. G. D. Yadav in March 2016. He then joined Faculty of Forestry, University of British Columbia, Vancouver as Queen Elizabeth Scholar and performed postdoctoral research with Prof. Scott Renneckar. He joined Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai- IndianOil Odisha Campus, Bhubaneswar as Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering in December 2018 and began his academic career by setting up his RenewChemicals Laboratory. His research laboratory works in the area of Waste management and valorisation and Green chemistry and technology. Dr Patankar also has a start-up company working in the waste management domain which is incubated at BITS BIRAC BioNest at Goa Campus.
