Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Many undergraduate students who join BITS-Pilani involve in research activities. From their second year onward students can take up project oriented courses like Study Oriented Project (SOP), Lab Oriented Project (LOP), and Design Oriented Project (DOP) under the guidance of a faculty. Through these courses many student work along with faculty in their core area of research leading to publications in well reputed international journals or conferences. Apart from these project oriented courses, students are welcome to informally approach a faculty and carry out research of their choice. Several students are selected for prestigious internship programs like MITACS and VITERBEE. Further, students who are serious about pursuing an MS or Ph.D. degree abroad take up a thesis as a part of their integrated first degree program.
