Project

Automatic Oxygen Flow Regulator for Low - Flow Oxygen Therapy

During the devastating second wave of COVID - 19 in India, few doctors approached us to quickly develop an automation for oxygen therapy for sub - critical patients while maximizing oxygen conservation. A team of control system specialists [Prof. Alivelu Manga Parimi and Dr. Pratyush Chakraborty] and myself (for the sensor & actuator design) with the help of an enthusiastic group of students - Bandi Jai Krishna, Avinash Bhat Pattaje, Mohit Krishna and others developed a working prototype and demonstrated its efficacy in hospital settings.
 
[UPDATE 25-Feb-22] Work in this project has been accepted for presentation at the prestigious and flagship conference of the IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Society (https://i2mtc2022.ieee-ims.org/). Congrats to all the stakeholders!!
