Prof. Kumar Pranav Narayan is teacher and researcher in the Department of Biological Sciences since December 2008. He also served as Chief Warden of the campus for more than six years. He teaches various courses in programs like M.Sc. Biological Sciences & ME Biotechnology. He also teaches BITS BIOCON Certificate Program in Applied & Industrial Microbiology. He works in the area of cancer therapeutics using targeted drug/gene delivery system, plant-based adjuvants for vaccine & immunotherapies and the development of nutraceutical for cancer patients. Prof. Narayan has also worked in the field of agriculture microbiology for the development of inoculum for biofertilizer. Presently, he is using crop residues and waste/weed plants for the development of biopesticides. His research projects are funded by industry, as well as DBT, Govt. of India and internal funding from CHDR-BITS. He is also having active collaboration from reputed institution like CSIR-IICT Hyderabad, IIT Hyderabad, NIT Warangal and Army College of Dental Sciences, Secunderabad.
