International teaching and Training workshop organized

WIGH 2020 held from 7th January to 16th January 2020 at Hyderabad campus

Highlights of the WIGH-2020:

·         The program was inaugurated on the 7.1.20 by Dr. V Prakash, Former Director of CFTRI, Mysore, India & Distinguished Scientist of CSIR – India, Vice-President of Int. Union of Nutritional Sciences, UK 18 participants, including 8 students from PACE University and 4 from Bhutan University

·         19 resource persons including faculty from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus, PACE University, USA, CCMB, Hyderabad, University of Mysore , Stony Brook University, NY, WHO, UNFPA, Heartfulness Institute, Hyd,, Share India, Hyderabad , Ayurvidye Trust, Bangalore, NIGPR, Delhi, former Head of Social and preventive Medicine, NTRUHS, Yashoda Hospital, Hyderabad.

·         The program ended with a valedictory function graced by Dr. Meenakumari, Vice President, Sri Sri 'Art of Living'

 

MIDT 2019 held from 24th July 3rd August 2019 at Hyderabad campus

Highlights of the summer school in Medical Innovation and Design Thinking MIDT-2019:

·         The program was inaugurated on the 24th  July by Dr. G Sundar, Director, BITS Pilani and Dr. K Sivakumar, Managing Director, Pharmedices Technical Services, Consultant WHO, UNFPA, FHI 360P

·         22 participants

·         23 resource persons including faculty from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus, Cardiff University, UK, Hiroshima University, Japan, Cambridge UK and several industries such as Healthcube, McCradle, Pluss Advanced Technologies, SCTIMST, Go North Ventures, Cyient, Graphene Med Resources, MFC, Audicor Cardiometrics, Medtronics and Shipra labs

·         The program ended with a valedictory function graced by P.V.M. Rao, IIT Delhi.

·         The program was inaugurated on the 7.1.19 by Dr. Harvey Borovetz, Distinguished Professor UPMC, Pittsburgh, USA and Dr. P. S. Reddy CEO, Share India and Share USA and founder CEO of Mediciti Institute of Medical Sciences, Medchal, Hyderabad.

·         28 participants, including 9 students from PACE University

·         22 resource persons including faculty from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus, PACE University, USA, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Hyderabad, National Institute of Nutrition, Mediciti Institute of Medical Sciences, The George Institute of Global Health and Central Research Institute for Unani Medicine.

·         The program ended with a valedictory function graced by Dr. Alok Mullick, CEO, Omni Hospital, Hyderabad.

 

WIGH 2018 held from 3rd January to 12th January 2018 at Hyderabad campus Highlights of the WIGH-2018:

· The program was inaugurated on the 3.1.16 by Dr. Santosh Kar, KIIT, Bhubneshwar.

· 32 participants including 5 students from PACE University

· 23 resource persons including faculty from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus, PACE University, USA, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Hyderabad, Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences, Mediciti Institute of Medical Sciences.

· Three intensive workshops in Health and Psychology, SMART goal setting and Biostatistics

· The program ended with a valedictory function graced by Prof. G. Sundar, Director BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus.

 

WIGH 2017 held from 3rd January to 13th January 2017 at Hyderabad campus

Highlights of the WIGH-2017:

·         The program was inaugurated on the 3.1.17 by Dr. P. S. Reddy CEO, Share India and Share USA and founder CEO of Mediciti Institute of Medical Sciences, Medhchal, Hyderabad.

·         39 participants, including students from PACE University

·         28 resource persons including faculty from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus,  PACE University, USA, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Hyderabad, National Institute of Nutrition, Mediciti Institute of Medical Sciences, The George Institute of Global Health and Central Research Institute for Unani Medicine.

·         Three intensive workshops in Health and Psychology, SMART goal setting and Biostatistics

·         The program ended with a valedictory function graced by Prof. V. S. Rao, Director BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus.

 

WIGH 2014 held from 17th January to 25th January 2014 at Hyderabad campus

Highlights of the WIGH-2014:

·         The program was inaugurated on the 17.1.14 by Dr. C Venkata S Ram, Director Blood Pressure Clinics, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad.

·         20 participants

·         22 resource persons including faculty from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus, University of Southern California, USA, Center for Prostate research, Washington, USA,  Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Hyderabad, HISP India, New Delhi and Delhi University, New Delhi, Mediciti Institute of Medical Sciences, The George Institute of Global Health, Public Health Foundation of India, Hyderabad and Central Research Institute for Unani Medicine.

·         Two full day intensive workshops in Health information Systems

·         One full day intensive workshop in SMART Goal setting

·         The program ended with a valedictory function graced by Prof. V. S. Rao, Director BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus.

 

Highlights of training for GOI health professionals in Health Information Systems Management (26th to 28th September 2013)

·         The program was inaugurated by Dr. S.K Agarwal, Director, BITS Goa campus, on 26.9.13

·         28 GOI health professionals from 08 states attended the training

·        05resource persons including faculty from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus, HISP India, and IIIT Delhi, India

·         The program was inaugurated on 24.6.13 by Prof. K. E Raman, 

·         13 participants including foreign students from AECOM

·         11 resource persons including faculty from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus, AECOM, USA, Medanata, Medicity Hospital, Health care Initiatives, Chandigarh, Helix institute of Public Health, Mumbai

·          Participants earned 3 credits towards a 12-credit Certificate Program in Global Health offered by AECOM

 

Highlights of the WIGH-2013: (2nd Jan to 12th Jan 2013)

·         The program was inaugurated on the 2.1.13 by Dr. K. C Reddy, Chairman, REEMAP and Vice Chairman, REECAP, Hyderabad

·         31 participants including foreign students from AECOM

·         18 resource persons including faculty from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus, AECOM, USA, University of Pittsburgh, USA, Center for Prostate research, Washington, USA,  HISP India, New Delhi and ICMR, New Delhi, Mediciti Institute of Medical Sciences and Care Hospital, The George Institute of Global Health and Public Health Foundation of India, Hyderabad.

·         Two full day intensive workshops in Health information Systems and Microyoga

·         Participants earned 3 credits towards a 12-credit Certificate Program in Global Health offered by AECOM

·         The program ended with a valedictory function graced by Prof. G. N. Rao, Chairman, LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad
