Dr. Sanjay K. Sahay joined BITS, Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus in December 2005 and presently working as Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems, BITS, Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus. He is also a Visiting Associate of IUCAA, Pune. He has extensive research interests in Information Security, Applied Artificial Intelligence, Malware Analysis, Blockchain Technology, Applied Cryptography and Gravitational Waves. He has over 80 academic international publications, and under his supervision, six students received PhD degrees. He successfully completed a sponsored project and two projects are under implementation. He has been a general co-chair of the International Conference on Information Security, Privacy & Digital Forensics, and the 8th International Conference on Secure Knowledge Management in the Artificial Intelligence Era. He has also been a member of the technical program committees of multiple conferences, advisors and session chairs for about 20 international conferences. He also serves as an editor of SKM-2019 & SKM-2021 proceedings, both published in the Communications in Computer and Information Science (Springer) and special issue of SKM-2019, published in the Information Systems Frontiers journal. He also published a book titled “Data Analysis of Gravitational Waves”. He teaches Blockchain Technology, Network Security, Cryptography and Computer Programming courses. Before joining BITS, Pilani, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow (TAUVEX) at Tel Aviv University, Israel; Project Associate (ASTROSAT) Raman Research Institute, Bangalore and Project Scientist, IUCAA, Pune.
In addition to teaching and research he has also held administrative roles viz. Department Research Committee, Department Committee on Academics, Library committee member, hostels warden and currently he is Faculty-in-Charge of Computer Centre.
