Institute
Fellowship: There are a limited number of institute fellowships available.
Candidates admitted under this category will be provided INR 28000 or INR 31000 as per the
qualification at the time of admission. Candidates in the following thrust areas will be
considered for Institute Fellowship:
Cultural Studies; Literary Studies; International Relations of South Asia; IR theory; Chinese Foreign Policy; Applied Psychology; Education (School & Higher); Sociology; Gender Studies; ELT: Syllabus Designing; Gender and Cultural Issues in Education; Media Studies; Advertising Communication; Western Philosophy; Feminist Philosophy; Development Studies; Public Policy and Gender
External
Fellowship: Candidates with external fellowships such as UGC-JRF, UGC-
OBCNF, UGC-NFSC, UGC-NFST, etc. are encouraged to apply for Ph.D.
admission in the Department. Admission under this category is open in all areas of research

Shortlisting criteria for the Ph.D. candidates (I Sem 23-24)
- The candidate should have at least an MA or an equivalent degree.
- The candidate should have scored at least 55% in the
postgraduate degree.
- The department should have an expert in the area to
supervise the candidate.
- The candidate should have opted for Pilani campus as
the first or second preference.
