Convener, Departmental Research Committee, Computer Science & Information Systems (June 2022 - May 2024)
 
University of Lincoln, UK (2012-2016):

(a) Senior Tutor for the School of Engineering. The role entailed overseeing of Personal Tutoring practices and implementation within the school. I worked in collaboration with the University Educational Development and Enhancement Unit, and conducted training workshops for the school staff.

(b) Module leader for both subjects that I taught (Electrical Power and Machines, Further Mathematics for Engineers) and was responsible towards all teaching related development and implementation, including laboratories.

(c) Continued contributions to School accreditation programs and designed/amended curriculum as and when required.

(d) Conducting the School Research Seminar Series. I created and maintained a blog towards dissemination of the same. Our forum at the School of Engineering attracted local businesses, which turned out to be a good opportunity for the students to network. Furthermore, an initiative to attract local public interest was also undertaken in association with the University public relations office.


Rourkela Steel Plant, Electronics Engineering Department (SAIL) (1994-1999):

I served as a Junior manager, and subsequently, as an Assistant Manager, at the Electronics Engineering Department, Rourkela Steel Plant, Steel Authority of India Ltd. I led and managed one laboratory, providing maintenance and repair support to the Production and Finishing lines of the continuous process steel plant. I was in-charge of all administrative activities pertaining to my work area. A summary of responsibilities is as follows:

•    Managing a team of 11 dedicated work personnel working in shifts, and providing technical guidance.

•    On-site work supervision during breakdown and emergencies.

•    Managing inventory of designated work area and communication with internal and external suppliers of materials.

•    Communicating with intra-plant customers.

•    Arranging and providing need-based training to work personnel.

•    Customer satisfaction and housekeeping were two major thrust areas.

•    In-charge of functioning and maintenance of the in-house documentation archive.
