About the Faculty
Dr. Jayita obtained her PhD in Biotechnology from IIT Kharagpur. Her PhD thesis is titled "Process integration and life cycle assessment for biodiesel production from oleaginous yeast and strategic valorization of de-oiled biomass into bio-crude". After her PhD she worked as Research associate in Hindustan Petroleum Green R&D Centre, Bengaluru (March - July, 2021). Thereafter she joined BITS Pilani WILP division as guest faculty, teaching courses for M.Tech Environmental engineering (July 2021- January 2023).
Her research interest include bioprocess optimization, biofuel production, hydrothermal liquefaction and life cycle assessment.
