Dr. Mayank Goel joined BITS Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus on 14th February 2011, presently serving the institute as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics. He started his professional career as a Research Analyst with BA Continuum Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (A non-bank subsidiary of Bank of America) in September 2006. He served as a Quantitative Analyst in the Investment Banking division of Credit Suisse (India) Pvt. Ltd. and researched trading algorithms for the Japanese market. He also studied trade execution algorithms with a Research group of Deep Value Technology (India) Pvt. Ltd.
Dr. Mayank Goel has 12 years of teaching and research experience and more than four years of industrial experience.
He was awarded the Teaching Excellence Award by BITS Pilani K. K. Birla Goa Campus on September 5, 2022.
He has his Master’s in Applied Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. He holds a Ph.D. in “Portfolio Optimization with Risk-sensitive Criterion” from the Department of Mathematics, IIT Bombay.
