Ms.Debika Gogoi (2018PHXF0429G), a PhD student of the Department of Chemistry has won the “ACS Best Poster Presentation Award” at the International Conference on nanomaterials and Sustainable Applications (NANO-SA), 2023 which was organized by Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai-Marathwada Campus during 10 and 11 January 2023. The title of the poster paper is “Flexible and High-Performance Energy Storage Device from Biomass-Derived Porous Carbon Supported MnCo2O4 Nanorods and MnO2 Nanoscales” by Debika Gogoi, Rajeshvari SamatbhaiKarmur, Manash R. Das Narendra Nath Ghosh*

Prof Ghosh has been placed among the top 2% of most cited scientists in the world for both categories (“career-long database” and “single recent year dataset”)
 
 Prof Ghosh received “BHARAT SHIKSHA GAURAV PURASKAR” and a “CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION EXCELLENCE”, presented by KTK Outstanding Achievers and Education Foundation, India.
 

 August 2022: Congratulations: Debika: Paper accepted in the “Food Chemistry”.(Impact Factor: 9.231, ranking it 8 out of 143 in Food Science & Technology)

Title of paper: GA-AuNP@Tollens’ complex as a highly sensitive plasmonic nanosensor for detection of Formaldehyde and Benzaldehyde in preserved food products.

 

July 2022: Congratulations: Debika: Paper accepted in the “ACS Omega”(Impact Factor: 4.132)

Title of paper: CoFe2O4 Nanoparticles Grown within Porous Al2O3 and Immobilized on Graphene Nanosheets: A Hierarchical Nanocomposite for Broadband Microwave Absorption.

 

July 2022: Congratulations: Rajeshvari and Debika: Paper accepted in the “Energy and Fuels”.(Impact Factor: 4.654)

Title of paper: High-Performance Flexible Supercapacitor Device Composed of a Hierarchical 2-D MXene-Ni(OH)2 Nanocomposite and Biomass-Derived Porous Carbon Electrodes.

 

June 2022: Congratulations: Debika and Rajeshvari: Paper accepted in the “Sustainable Energy & Fuels”(Impact Factor: 6.813)

Title of paper: A high-performance flexible energy storage device from biomass-derived porous carbon supported MnCo2O4 nanorods and MnO2 nanoscales.

 

April 2022: Prof N N Ghosh has received a funded project from University Grant Commission—Dept of Atomic Energy- Collaborative Research Scheme (UGC-DAE CSR) in collaboration with Kolkata Centre.

Title of the Project: Radioactive Ion Beam irradiation of a multifunctional nanocomposite composed of multiferroic BiFeO3 nanoparticle and semiconducting graphitic carbon, for tuning its electronic structure and properties and its application in the fabrication of high-performance mechanically flexible all-solid-state supercapacitor device and photo-catalyst for Industrial dye-containing wastewater treatment under natural sunlight and solar power generated simulated solar light.

 

April 2022: Congratulations: Debika and Rajeshvari: Paper accepted in the “Applied Catalysis B: Environmental”(Impact Factor: 19.503, ranking it 1 out of 54 in Engineering, Environmental)

Title of paper: Cu and CoFe2O4 Nanoparticles Decorated Hierarchical Porous Carbon: An Excellent Catalyst for Reduction of Nitroaromatics and Microwave-Assisted Antibiotic Degradation.

 

February 2022: Congratulations Priyanka on successfully defending PhD thesis.

Title of PhD Thesis: Development of Magnetic Nanoparticles and Carbon-based Nanocomposites as the Electrode Materials for High-Performance All-Solid-State Flexible Supercapacitor Devices.

 

January 2022: Prof NN Ghosh has been invited as Associate Editor in

(i) Frontiers in Chemistry (IF: 5.221)

(ii) "Frontiers in Materials - Impact Factor 3.515"

 

2021: Prof NN Ghosh has become a Full member (invited) of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society.
