Post graduation in clinical microbiology with PhD in Radiation Biology and Cancer from Kasturba Medical College (Manipal University),MAHE, Manipal.
Research Interest:
Area of research involves Cancer Biology, Tissue engineering and Nanotechnology mediated drug delivery system to develop strategies for targeted drug delivery in cancer therapeutics. Currently we are working on cancer biology to screen natural compounds for antineoplastic activity in various cancer cells. We have studied tissue engineering application of scaffolds and micro encapsulation of polymers loaded with drug in treating arthritis. Also, the research focus is to apply nanotechnology tool in developing radio sensitisation strategies for the treatment of cancer using functionalised bioconjugated gold nanoparticles with herbal products, anticancer drugs and growth factors which follows cellular imaging and studies on treatment modality in vitro and in vivo.
