About the Institute:
Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS) is one of the premier science and technical institutes of higher learning in India. BITS-Pilani was among the first institutes to be awarded the Institute of Eminence status in the country. The Hyderabad campus was established in 2008 as the fourth campus of BITS-Pilani.
The Department of Mathematics offers M.Sc. (Mathematics) and both part-time and full-time Ph. D. programs. Currently, the Department has 28 faculty members drawn from different research areas of Mathematical sciences. Around 50 research scholars are working in the department for their Ph.D. The department also offers several research problems to undergraduate students in the form of projects and thesis which can be completed in a semester.
