Dr. Amol is presently working as an Assistant Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department, BITS Hyderabad Campus. Before joining BITS Hyderabad, he was working as a Postdoctoral fellow at the Mechanical Engineering Department, University of Houston, USA. He has completed his B.Sc. Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from D.E.I. Deemed University, Agra. After finishing his undergraduate studies, he obtained M.Tech. in Applied Mechanics at IIT Madras and Ph.D. from the Department of Engineering Design at IIT Madras. His research expertise are understanding the microstructure evolution in metallic systems using continuum models (Phase field simulations) and discrete models (Molecular Dynamics) . After joining the BITS Hyderabad, he is also exploring the fracture mechanics of adhesive bonded joints and 3D printed polymer components.
