Research Interests: Design, Synthesis and Development of simple, small organic molecules for materials and biological applications.

 1. Design, synthesis and development of simple, small organic molecules based on Tetracynaoquinodimethanes and Xanthenes for multifunctional molecular material characteristics: Optical and Non-linear Optical molecular materials, Solar-cells, Anticancer activityBio-imaging and Sensing applications.

 2. Purification/separation of enantiomeric impurities by HPLC technique in recent API's (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) through "Quality by Design Approach (QbD)"

 3.  Design and development of organic small molecules based on Organic D-Pi-A frameworks as Solid-state recognition agents.

 4. Design and Development of Biologically active molecules (with anticancer activity), molecular materials and doped Polymers for device applications such as Memristors and Solar cells.

Overall Our Group focuses on the:
  • Design, Synthesis, Characterization and Development of new simple, small organic molecules for biological activity and material properties.
  • Development and Fabrication of Molecular materials for optical, conducting, Non-linear optical and biological application (for anticancer activity)
  • Design, Synthesis, Characterization and Fabrication of novel Polymer templates/ Polymer blends for conducting and semiconducting applications.
  • Investigation on the Structure-property correlation
  • Investigation of Nano structures and tuning morphology for the miniatures
  • Purification/separation of impurities through fine tuning and control experiments by HPLC method.
  • Design and synthesis of solid-state recognition agents
  • To generate Supramolecular assemblies for optical and non-linear optical molecular materials by the optimization of non-covalent interactions/organization of molecular dipoles through crystallization.
  • Design and synthesize molecular probes as metal sensors.
        Future Research Interests are to:
  •  Design and synthesize molecular fluorescent probes as efficient sensors and for bioimaging.
  •  Synthesize considerable/extended pi-conjugated systems for solid state optical responses/solid state sensors.
  • Design and synthesize simple and small biologically active molecules for anticancer activity.
  • Design and development of organic semiconductors with resistive switching memory characteristic and solar cell application.
