ABOUT
Dr.
Ramendra Kishor Pal joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at BITS
Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, in April 2021 as an Assistant Professor. Before
joining BITS Pilani, he worked as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of
Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Rutgers University. Dr. Pal received a Ph.D.
degree in Chemical and Life Science Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University
in August 2017. He completed M. Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian
Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2013. He became an Associate of the Institution
of Engineers (India) (equivalent to an undergraduate degree) in 2011 while
working as a technical assistant in Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre
(LPSC), ISRO. He also worked as a Diploma Engineer Trainee in Ispat Industries
Limited (now JSW Ispat) and Reliance Industries Limited. His research interests
include natural polymer-based soft electronics, wearable biosensors, and cold plasma-based treatments in wound healing and inactivation of pathogens.
