Our B.Pharm.(Hons.) programme has been structured to match and exceed the requirements of the Pharmacy Council of India. The programme offers students additional courses which give the shape and flavour of engineering as well as fundamental sciences giving an added dimension to the student’s academics.

 

Salient Features of Bachelor of Pharmacy:

  • 8 semester modular structure
  • Strong exposure to basic science, humanities, management and engineering related subjects
  • Exhaustive exposure to various practical aspects of the research methodologies, instrumental techniques, emerging areas  and industrial operations
  • Option for doing projects (Study/ Laboratory/ Computer oriented)from third year onwards along with  regular courses, seminars, assignments etc.
  • Electives option to choose a specific career path
  • Seven and a half months Practice School (PS-I of 2 months and PS-II of 5.5 months)/ Thesis option

Evaluation

The evaluation system at BITS Pilani encourages and rewards continuous and systematic study. It also provides a continuous feedback to students and thus encourage more holistic learning.

Flexibilities

One of the unique features of BITS Pilani is the flexibility it offers its students. Students can opt for Dual Degrees, transfers and the courses that form a programme.

Practice School

Aimed at orienting students to the professional world. Implemented at various professional settings such as national laboratories, financial institutions, R&D centres, software & health care organizations.

Student Achievements

  • Robot Shaurya wins several accolades

    Robot Shaurya, developed by a duo  BITSian team comprising  Mr. Akash Mohan Singhal and Mr. Aditya Shanker Raghuwanshi, won accolades in Robocup 2011 held in Istambul (July 2011), in Intel India Embedded Challenge  2011  held in Bangalore (August 2011)  and in DRDO Student Robot Competition 2010 held in Chennai (October 2010).

  • Paper presentation in International Conference

    Mr Rwitajit Majumdar, a M. E. Student, presented a paper titled, Simulation of Planar Wave Flagellar Propulsion of Nanorobots using Comsol at the 7th Annual COMSOL Conference 2011, held at Boston (US)  on 13-15 October 2011.

  • Efficycle 2011 Prize

    Students led by Saurabh Ahuja ( Team Captain) won overall 2nd position in Efficycle 2011, organized by Society of Automotive Engineers Northern India Chapter  during 14 - 16 October 2011. BITSian team designed a three  tyred multi rider hybrid vehicle that runs  both on human effort and batteries.
