ME in Mechanical Engineering offers a curriculum which instead of focusing on a certain specialization, covers a wider domain in terms of subjects taught. There is a larger premise in this post-graduation course, especially in terms of the elective courses that are offered, ranging from Microfluidics to Tribology. Some of the core courses that are offered under ME design include Quality Control Assurance and Reliability, Mechanism and Robotics and Finite Element Method. In addition to this, a design project is also included in the curriculum, where the students have to take up a research project. They are free to choose any specific domain, namely, fluids and thermal engineering, design or manufacturing and approach the concerned faculties.
This higher degree program in Mechanical Engineering focuses on the advanced level of teaching and research in all three branches, namely, fluid & thermal, design and manufacturing. So, the students get the opportunity to grasp a wider range of knowledge. This is evident by looking into the details of the courses offered. Upon completion of this 2-year post-graduation, the students have greater flexibility in terms of job prospects as well as research. The students also get to interact with a diverse group of faculties and work in different inter-disciplinary laboratories.
