RESEARACH PROJECTS:
1. Air Traffic Management Researach Institute (ATMRI), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), SINGAPORE [March 2014-Feb. 2015]
Title: Dynamic Spectrum Access Enabled Cognitive Radio based Sustainable Air-to Ground Communication System
Description: The main aim of this project is to develop an efficient spectrum sensing and spectrum management unit, to effectively sense and decide most suitable vacant band in the very high frequency (VHF) spectrum for each airplane depending on the Quality of Service (QoS) requirement.
Role: Algorithm development and implementation, Project management and collaboration with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), Singapore.
2. Communication Theories and Research Group (CTRG), University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon SK, Canada [Dec. 2012-June 2012]
Title: Cooperative Frequency-Domain Beamforming over Frequency-Selective Rayleigh Fading Channels with DFE
Description: This project investigates cooperative frequency-domain beamforming (FD-BF) for multiuser wireless cooperative networks with decision feedback equalizer. Single-carrier frequency division multiple-access with frequency-domain equalization technique is employed at both the relay and destination to combat the inter-block and inter-symbol interference caused by multipath propagation.
Role: Algorithm development and implementation.
3. Communication Theories and Research Group (CTRG), University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon SK, Canada [Dec. 2010-June 2011]
Title: Performance of OFDM Systems with Subcarrier Grouping and Nonlinear Constellation Precoding
Description: In this project, we developed a nonlinear signal space diversity technique based on maximum distance separable (MDS) codes along with the subcarrier grouping, and diversity channel selection (DCS) decoding in OFDM system to maximize both diversity and coding gains for any number of diversity channels and desired diversity orders.
Role: Project lead, Algorithm development and implementation.
COURSE PROJECTS:
1. Transceiver Design for MIMO and OFDM Wireless Communication Systems. (PhD Thesis: August 2009 – June 2013)
Description: Designed an optimum joint linear transceiver for Single-user/Multi-user MIMO systems employing improper signal constellations with both perfect and imperfect CSI with transmit and receive correlation at both end.
2. Multimedia Transcoding for Heterogeneous Computer Networks by using PXA270 Processor. (M.E. Main Project Thesis: July 2005 - June 2007)
Description: Intercommunication between two heterogeneous computer networks, the transcoding function is performed; here implement the transcoding function by using PXA270 processor.
3. Wireless Home Automation by using Frequency Modulation (FM). (B.E. Main Project Thesis: December 2001 – June 2005)
Description: Automatically control the home devices like fan and light etc. that is switch ON/OFF the home devices from the remote location by using the Frequency modulation/ demodulation techniques.
