About the Faculty
Pardha S Gurugubelli has obtained his doctoral degree from National University of Singapore in the fields of computational fluid dynamics, fluid-flexible structure interactions and finite element method. After his Ph.D., he has worked as research fellow at Keppel-NUS corporate laboratory, Singapore wherein he has worked on under-standing the vortex-induced vibration phenomenon in long flexible risers used for transporting oil and gas from the sea bed to the floating platforms at the surface. His areas of expertise primarily involve development of three-dimensional parallel solvers for simulating fluid-flexible structure interactions for applications ranging from suppression of vortex-induced vibration (VIV), energy harvesting, fish swimming, bird flight, offshore oil & gas platforms and allied pipelines.
