 Low Speed Uniform Flow Wind-Tunnel Facility 
  • Blowdown tunnel with a test section of 500mm X 500mm X 2000mm
  • Max speed 11m/s 
  • Approximate turbulence intensity of 1.1%
  • The wind tunnel facility was originally conceptualised and designed by Mr Pankaj Dodla (H2014141033), Prof. Sabareesh G R and fabricated by M/s Hemair Systems Pvt Ltd. The modifications to the test-section, automated calibration facility and wind tunnel screens were done by Ms Kalyani Panigrahi (2019PHXF0445H), and are partially supported by the ACRG and OPERA projects of Dr P S Gurugubelli.
 
 Low Speed Variable Velocity Flow Wind-Tunnel Facility 
  • Blowdown tunnel with a test section of 12000mm X 1200mm X 2400mm
  • The airflow is generated by a grid of 10x10 48V DC fans
  • Max speed 11m/s 
  • The RPM of each row of the fans can be controlled to achieve variable velocity profile across the test section
  • The facility was funded by OPERA and ACRG grants
 
 Low Speed Water-Tunnel Facility 
  • An open-top water-tunnel facility with a test section of 600mm X 600mm X 2000mm
  • The maximum velocity in the test section is 0.5m/s
  • 5watt CW Nd-YAG laser for flow visualization and PIV application
  • The facility was funded by DST SERB SRG Project and OPERA
 High Performance Computing Facility
  • Rocks 7 based cluster with Slurm job scheduler
  • 12 core master node
  • 4 computing nodes with 24 cores each
  • 14 computing nodes with 28 cores each
  • 2 Nvidia Quadro RTX 6000
  • 40 TB NAS
  • 24 port gigabit switch
