Programme and Course Development

Developed 'Minor in Management" Programme (introduced in the Institute in the year 2022).
Designed and contributed to MBA programme (introduced in the Institute in the year 2006, prior to this the institute was offering Masters in Management Studies, a four integrated under graduate programme).
Designed and contributed to MPH programme (Masters in Public Health) (introduced in the Institute in the year 2008)
Designed and contributed in restructuring of M. Phil. (HHSM) programme (Hospital & Health Systems Management programme offered to working professionals through Work Integrated Learning Programmes)
Developed several new courses viz. Negotiation Skills and Techniques, Managerial Skills, Workshop on Film Production, Management Framework & Functions, Management Principles and Practices.

Pedagogical Innovations/Material Development

Extensive usage of experiential learning techniques i.e. games, exercises, role play, simulations, online games, in-tray/in basket exercises, case studies, project, psychometric tools, etc., in several courses taught and particularly in the following courses: Managerial Skills, Negotiation Skills & Techniques, and Healthcare Management course.
Identification of learning outcomes for each course based on Bloom’s taxonomy. This followed by structuring the content, assessments, etc.
Introduced innovative pedagogy such as half-day workshops as an assessment component for managerial skills and negotiation skills & techniques courses.
Developed “Master Report” for students enrolled in the following courses: Managerial Skills, Negotiation Skills & Techniques and Healthcare Management. These reports reflect the key skills and competencies of each student and are based on various case discussions, in-class activities, and questionnaires (psychometric tools). They highlight the student’s strengths, weaknesses, areas needing improvement so on and so forth. These reports are personalized and the length of each report is around 50 pages (for Managerial Skills), 30 pages (for Negotiation Skills & Techniques), and 85 pages (for Healthcare Management).
Initiated MIMES ‘Movies in Management Education Series’ in the year 2008. MIMES aims at teaching management concepts through Hollywood movies (used at full length). MIMES cover various topics of management, provide a learning opportunity for all the participants/audience to hone their managerial skills & various managerial concepts.
Developed and distributed to students a booklet “Management Mantras: 108”, a ready reckoner on management principles for effective managing.
Developed and used rubrics to evaluate written case reports and case discussions in the course ‘International Business’
Conducted an in-tray exercise (involving 27 roles to played and 27 participants were involved at a single go) in the course “Healthcare Management”.
Video recorded a master role play on negotiation skills the course “Healthcare Management”.
