Research Fellowships Awarded

Following Prestigious Research Fellowships are been awarded to the full time PhD students.

1. Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship (CAD $ 10,000)

Ms. Sonal Kumari, who is working with Prof. Navneet Goyal & Dr. Poonam Goyal for her Ph.D., received the prestigious Canadian Government Commonwealth Scholarship (Apr. – Oct. 2012) to work in the Computer Science Department of Carleton University. She is working with Prof. Anil Maheshwari on Parallelizing Data Mining Algorithms.

2. TCS Fellowships* (Rs. 23,000 pm + 1 lakh contingency + travel support)

The following full-time PhD. scholars have been awarded this highly competitive TCS Ph.D. fellowship:

Research Awards

Prof. Navneet Goyal
Prof. Navneet Goyal and Dr Poonam Goyal of Computer Science Department of BITS Pilani have won the IBM Scalable Data Analytics Innovation Award 2010 under their Smarter Planet Initiative. The award is for the concept titled "Developing a Smart Crop Management System using Data Analytics" and carries a cash prize of $ 15,000 USD.
