I, as a Convener and Local Chairperson, conducted a DST-SERC School on Theoretical Techniques in Atomic and Molecular Collision Physics at BITS, Pilani during 10-28 January 2011 which was sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi, through its the then Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC). The main objective of this school was to acquaint the participating students with the current theoretical and computational techniques used in Atomic and Molecular collision Physics, to motivate them to join research and to raise their academic standards in the field. Prof. P.C. Deshmukh, IIT, Mandi, delivered the inaugural address entitled “An Odyssey in Atomic Physics”. The School was attended by 35 Post-Doctoral Fellows, Ph.D. and M. Sc. Students from all over the country. There were 10 resource persons drawn from highly reputed institutes like IIT, Roorkee; IIT, Mandi; IIT, Chennai; PRL, Ahmedabad; TIFR, Mumbai; BITS, Pilani; IACS, Kolkata; IISER, Kolkata and University of Birmnigham (UK). They conducted 100 hours lectures and tutorials during the short span of the School. The students were exposed to important topics of Atomic Collision Physics
