The Pharmacy Department has various laboratories for conducting courses and providing research facilities in the field of computer-aided drug design, synthesis and characterization of novel drug entities, pharmacological screening and toxicology study, pharmaceutical analysis, drug delivery systems, pharmacokinetics and biopharmaceutics, phytochemistry and pharmacognosy.
Central Analytical Laboratory houses many sophisticated instruments, which are used for training of the students as well as carrying out research work at all levels. The instruments include - IR Moisture Balance, Visual Digital Melting Point Apparatus, Brookfield Viscometer, Environmental Cabinet, UV-Visible Spectrophotometers, UV-Visible-NIR Scanning Spectrophotometer, IR Spectrophotometer, FTIR Spectrophotometer, Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, Scanning Spectroflourimeter, NMR Spectrometer, High Voltage Electrophoresis, Polarimeters, Ultra and Refrigerated Centrifuges, Differential Scanning Calorimeter, Gas Liquid Chromatograph, High Performance Thin Layer Chromatograph and High Performance Liquid Chromatograph with auto-sampler and various detectors.
